I wanted to thank you and your staff for a fabulous time this week. I have been to other ranches in Texas but none compare to what you have to offer at Pear Tree. The quality and wide variety of animals on the ranch is unbelievable. I was able to harvest the animal that I was looking for, but better yet, I saw the quality of animal that I have already set my sites on for the next trip there. The accommodations and the food were superb, nothing like I have ever experienced at any other ranches I have been to. I am looking forward to my next trip to the ranch which hopefully will be during the spring turkey season.

Many thanks to Pear Tree Game Ranch for a truly memorable experience. Words can't describe the caliber of deer and exotics on your property. The unbelievable number of massive bucks alone was mind-blowing. The wildlife is incredibly abundant at every turn. The many exotics were fascinating to view. I was like a kid in a candy store! My first impression was Pear Tree Game Ranch is no doubt a "no expense spared" operation.
I can't thank you enough for the courteous and professional treatment I received while at Pear Tree. The accommodations were equally impressive. The food was excellent (thank you Lena!). Meals were hot & waiting for us each time we came in from the blinds...which, by the way, were outstanding as well...Plus! the fact that Pear Tree is just a relaxing place to be. I think this is the first time in many years I was able to sit back and enjoy every minute.

Hunting- The quality of the animals is better than what I expected. I loved being able to see
all the variety of animals at the ranch. They are all In great conditions. I liked that even though you had a lot of deer there, it wasn't just a shot & kill thing. You had to use several strategies to make things into an actual hunting adventure. That's one great thing about the ranch. You never know if the deer you are looking is going to show up at the blind you are at, and well this is called real hunting. The lodge is amazing, the rooms are big & comfortable. The furniture gives it a country style . The pool table is great , I was able to have a relaxing time, by playing a good game of pool. The food was excellent, Lena's cooking is great.
I had the chance to meet the owners of the ranch ( Tedd & his family ) I want to thank them for making us feel like part of their family. We had an amazing New Year's dinner with you guys.

From bobcats to hogs to turkeys and countless deer, I have never seen more game on a ranch in Texas. The land has been impeccably maintained and managed, and as a result holds the biggest whitetail I have seen in my life. After a hard week of hunting, I harvested one of them. I can’t remember another hunt where I saw the class of whitetail that the Pear Tree has, as well as the other wildlife on the ranch. There was never a dull moment while hunting. I’m at a loss for words when it comes to the accommodations. I have not been to a hunting lodge that compares to what the Pear Tree offers, ever. The amenities are first class all the way around. Such a great place, with great food, to spend some time with friends by the fire on the back patio after a long day of hunting. I think I had just as much fun checking out the ranch in between hunts. There were times we saw several different types of wildlife at the same time from some of those high points on the ranch. When life gets busy, I always think about the back porch overlooking the ranch where I sat after lunch just letting the stress of everyday life roll off my back. The Pear Tree Ranch was a first class trip. All six guys on our trip got the deer that they wanted. Everyone had a professional, knowledgeable, and fun guide. We used to hunt at a friend’s ranch every year, but now we are going to make Pear Tree an annual tradition. The Pear Tree Ranch is a well managed hunting lodge. This is made possible by the ranch manager Bill Bowers and his great staff. From the time you arrive til the time you leave, everything is handled with perfection. The lodge is first class and the meals are a combination of great food and conversation. As far as deer goes, it is amazing. I have hunted in Texas most of my life and have never seen deer this big. I harvested a very nice 8 point buck. Due to my work schedule, time is hard to come by and Pear Tree was the perfect solution. I hope to return this year. Thanks again to Bill and his staff for a great trip.

My best friends and I decided to try out the PearTree Game Ranch as a 40 birthday present to ourselves. We had heard good things about the Ranch, but it blew away even our best expectations. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, this was a class act. The lodge was beautiful and well appointed. Accomodations were borderline luxurious. Tempurpedic mattresses on each bed... riduculous. Slept like a baby. The staff and guides were all extremely friendly, couteous, and knowledgable. The food was great. The Ranch itself was gorgeous. Rolling hills, rocky creek bottoms, bluffs, and heavy woods. And the deer were awesome. Cull bucks here were better than shooters on my normal lease. Ended up taking a beautiful 170 6x6. Best deer of my life. Can't thank the PearTree and it's staff enough. This was by far the best hunting trip of my life. And I for one, can't wait to get back. Already looking at dates for next season. Believe me, you will not be disappointed with this place. It's something special.

I wanted to pass on to you and the rest of the staff at Pear Tree a big thank you. Being able to spend the week after Christmas, hunting with my kids and granddaughter was an incredible experience that your team made even better. Being able to have so many firsts for my family was great, my daughter’s first deer ever, my daughter-in-law’s first deer, she doesn’t even hunt but she just got caught up in all of the excitement of the week and of course my 25 year old son killing his first buck and the world class Red Armenian that he killed. He can hardly wait to get the mount back. Being there when my 10 year old granddaughter shot her second buck from Pear Tree was just a memory that will not go away anytime soon, seeing the look in her face and that smile was priceless. I guess I started something, in that; they all want this to be an annual trip and Christmas present. The food and accommodations were first class as usual; my son, the chef, even agrees the food was excellent. This was my 5th trip to the ranch and I guess my family won’t let it be the last. I am sure I will see you soon, to go after one of the black bucks and again, book us for the week after Christmas 2011.

I just wanted to thank you, Steve, and Lena for a GREAT time last week on the exotics hunt. This was my third trip to Pear Tree, first to bring my wife, and she is still talking about it. Her intent originally was to hang around the lodge and catch up on her reading while the guys did the hunting, but after that first round of stalking all over that 3,000 acres of rocky hills and open fields for the rams, audad, blackbuck, etc., she did not stay back a single time the next 3 days, as you know! In addition to the exotics we were seeking, wow, did we see lots of great white tail bucks, most still in velvet. If we had thought to bring a good zoom lens and camera we would have gotten some “wildlife magazine” photos, that’s for certain – many of them looking down on us from up on the hills, sometimes in groups of two or three, with great racks visible even without the binoculars.
Looking forward to our next trip this fall for the white tail, and many more in the future. As I have said before, I have been to several other ranches in a couple of states, and yours is by far the best in animal quality and quantity (and reasonable prices), superb accommodations, and just plain nice folks!

I have been on several hunts and ranches in Texas and I must say your ranch is the best I have seen. Your deer management practices are yielding some hammer bucks, the facilities are top notch, the terrain is perfect for whitetail hunting and the food was delicious. I also enjoyed my first ram hunt. I really liked that you had many different types of terrain and it was a lot of fun climbing the mountains and glassing the ridges looking for the rams while I enjoyed the spectacular views.

Five Star!!! I have always been skeptical of hunting on a game ranch
because I didn't think I would ever be able to test my hunting abilities.
Peartree Game Ranch definitely changed the way I think. It didn't matter
if I wanted to rattle, spot and stalk, or just hunt out of a blind the
hunt ended up being even more challenging than I had ever thought it could
be. The profesional staff at Pear Tree, especially the guides, made the
difference. They had me onto monster whitetail bucks time and time again.
They knew the techniques to put me into position to take a true trophy
animal. The quality and management of the deer on Peartree Game Ranch is
second to none. The best part about it is after a challenging day
hunting you can retire to a relaxing pool or hot tub or just hang out at
the cozy lodge where the food is fantastic. With so many attractions (ex:
sporting clays, bass fishing, indian artifacts, water features, or just
wildlife watching) you can bet I have already booked my trip next year.
The only difference is that I am bringing the whole family!!

Thanks Guys…What an experience! We hunted the Pear Tree hard for 4 days and saw around 25 bucks (what I consider to be really good whitetails) that would score somewhere between 175 and 200!! But wait, there were even more big bucks. I would never have believed that a single ranch in Sweetwater Texas actually held more 200+ B&C bucks than I have seen in a lifetime of hunting the Rockies in a single 4 day hunt….we actually saw more than twenty 200+ bucks in a 4 day hunt; boy was I blown away. This place has an amazing combination of warmth, hospitality, and Monster Whitetails.

The Pear Tree Ranch was a once in a lifetime experience for me. The lodging was first class. The 3 square meals a day were absolutely delicious. Everything was homemade from the biscuits to the white bean chicken chili. There were monster buck on this ranch. Whatever size deer you want it’s there for you. The owner was in the process of creating a water feature paradise. You could tell he cared greatly about the ranch and making sure you had a first rate experience. I would go again in a heart beat. The lodge was big and spacious and I felt right at home there.

The lodge was great, the food was too good but the animals on this place made me weep. We hunted beautiful, free-ranging, full bucks in breath-taking Sweet Water, Texas. The deer were as wild and free as any whitetail and we stalked them for some amazing shots. Having never been to Texas I really had no idea what to expect. The Pear Tree really opened my eyes to Texas hospitality. The food was fantastic and the lodge and surroundings were out of sight. As far as the hunting goes, we saw a lot of trophy white tail bucks and huge exotics. I was impressed with how much cover the deer have on this ranch. Things were set up very nice, they even had a sporting clay range that would challenge a national champion. All in all, what a great experience. As the owner of the NBA Development League’s Utah Flash we needed an event for our large sponsors that included great food, superior hunting, and first class accommodations. Pear Tree provided all of those things.

Dear Pear Tree Game Ranch,
Lynn and I wanted to say how much we enjoyed the weekend. Everything was
first class, the accommodations, the FOOD, the company and the hunt.
Our guide was as much part of the experience as any one part, he really took
care of us and went above and beyond. The hunt was just the most
incredible hunt that I have ever experienced. A lot of people talk about
the can hunts on high fence ranches, but this was far from such a hunt, it
was beyond anything I could imagine. I will always look back about this
hunt, our guide chasing the Oryx through the brush in the Polaris and glassing
for a animal you thought there was no way it could disappear that way.
After all the chasing and stalking of the herd, thinking we were final
going to get ahead of them, we just pull into that opening and there was
the Oryx we seen the day before just standing there, but as I found out
the times before that they don't stand anywhere for very long. I was very
thankful everything came together for me to harvest a great animal.
I want to say thanks to you and the Pear Tree Game Ranch staff for everything.

I have been fortunate enough to participate in a lot of fun things in my life, and very few (if any) compare to the remarkable time I had hunting at the Pear tree Game Ranch. There is a great representation of each animal on the ranch, which makes the hunt for a trophy mount even more exciting. The accommodations were great, the hunts and days well organized, and the food prepared was second to none! I will definitely be returning to the ranch!

Bill this was the first time ever hunting and I can honestly tell you that I loved every minute, I can't stop thinking of when I going to go hunting again and when I'll be back at the ranch to get the other animals. Bill, I just wanted to tell you what a great time we all had last weekend hunting at the Pear Tree Ranch. (1st Class lodge and great food.) I have been hunting for almost 20 yrs and had never seen such a selection of 140 to 210 class deer at a feeder. The guides were all great and you can bet we will be seeing you next year. Bill,
I would like to thank you and Jim for making Samantha's first deer
hunt so memorable. She still can't stop talking about being with
Jim and my mom, Lynn Douglas, when she killed her first deer and the
overall experience she had. It was just Sunday she killed the 9-
point Buck but I've already heard more times than I count what
happened when she shot him. This has made her year, and as she is
only 9 years old, that's huge. Samantha has already told me she is
ready for the next hunt and the bigger deer she will be after.
Thank you again, everyone at Pear Tree definitely has a place in my daughter's heart forever.

Hunting at the Pear Tree Ranch was one of best trips I have been on. The lodge was incredible but the hunting was what made the trip. The guides were very professional and knowledgeable. I loved the variety of animals you can see each day. Each day was a different hunt of a different animal. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a trip of a lifetime. Thanks Pear Tree!
